The Details
The CoffeeBoy Review
An Edgewater institution since 2006 serving breakfast all day — now with Carnegie Deli sandwiches — and a dining room big enough to lose yourself in.
The Story
The Daily Creative Food Co. has been feeding Edgewater since 2006. It's the rare Miami spot that's simultaneously a Cuban coffee bar, a full diner, a beer-and-wine joint, and — as of their partnership with the legendary New York Carnegie Deli — a home for pastrami that has no business being this good in South Florida. If it exists on a breakfast menu, they serve it. All day.
What to Order
The Café Cubano is the CoffeeBoy pick — the Miami classic done right, all day, every day. The Colada is for sharing (or not; no judgment).
The Carnegie Deli Corned Beef is the headline act — the famous Carnegie corned beef piled on rye, in Miami, for under twenty dollars. The NY Diner Breakfast — three eggs any style, homefries, toast, bacon — is the reliable move when you need fuel, not flair.
The Experience
The dining room is unusually spacious and comfortable. The wifi was available during our visit, and the noise stayed conversational rather than chaotic. It is not a specialty-coffee-first space, but it is an honest, work-adjacent room with a steady caffeine supply.
The main caveat: they close at 4pm. This is a morning-work spot — show up at 7, breakfast at 8, work through lunch, and you've got a full productive day before they lock the doors.
The Verdict
Huge, casual, and wifi-friendly. The Daily Creative Food Co. is where you go when you need breakfast at 1pm, a pastrami sandwich that belongs in New York, and enough space to spread your work across the table. Come for breakfast, stay through lunch, leave after your afternoon meeting.
