The Details
The CoffeeBoy Review
The Coffee just landed in Wynwood from Brazil and it already has main character energy. The space is gorgeous. The Pure Black espresso hits. The merch wall is dangerous for your wallet.
The Story
Founded in Curitiba, Brazil in 2018, The Coffee has exploded to 325+ locations across 25+ countries. Their U.S. debut? Wynwood, December 3, 2025, right during Art Week — because of course. CEO Carlos Fertonani calls the U.S. "likely to become the company's largest market." The 1,700 sq ft café seats 42, with a Japanese-inspired minimalist aesthetic that somehow feels right at home next to Wynwood's murals.
Master franchisee Guillaume Soyer chose Wynwood specifically for its "Latino culture and creative energy" — which mirrors the brand's Brazilian-Japanese DNA. It's a vibe match, and you feel it the second you walk in.
What to Order
Start with the Pure Black — a double-shot espresso that's clean, bold, and lets the Brazilian beans speak for themselves. This is where you judge a coffee shop, and The Coffee passes. If espresso isn't your speed, the True White Latte is their milk-forward signature: creamy, balanced, and crowd-pleasing.
The Sora Latte is the one you're seeing on every Wynwood content creator's story — butterfly pea tea, coconut, and vanilla that changes color when you stir it. Is it gimmicky? A little. Is it delicious? Actually yes.
The Black Ginger and Lemon Honey Coffee are worth exploring if you want something unexpected. The Mad Mocha is indulgent without being heavy.
The Experience
Tech-forward is the word. Ordering happens via tablet, which is either efficient or cold depending on your personality. The interior is all clean lines, warm wood, and intentional negative space — the Japanese minimalism influence is strong and it works. The branded merch wall near the entrance will tempt you. The tote bags are nice. I'm not judging.
Surprisingly, this is a solid work spot. The Wi-Fi clocks 45 Mbps, outlets run along the back wall, and the noise level stays conversational rather than chaotic. Most Wynwood spots are all style, no substance for actual productivity — The Coffee is the exception.
The Verdict
The Coffee brings international pedigree to Wynwood without the pretension. Go for the espresso, stay for the aesthetic. It's a legit work-from-café spot hiding in plain sight on 27th Street.

Honey Veil
The viral matcha spot in South Miami with the honey whip that ruined every other matcha for me.
Chug's Diner
Not technically a coffee shop — it's a Cuban-American diner with a ventanita. But if you've never ordered a colada through a little window while pastelito crumbs fall on your shirt, you haven't done Miami coffee right.
Navi Coffee & Flowers
A coffee-and-flower-shop hybrid named after the owner's mother. Navi is the kind of place that makes you slow down, and you didn't even know you needed to.
